Eine besonders leichtgewichtige Honigwaben-Bodenplatte vereint hervorragende Stabilität als Liegefläche, mit einem geringen Gesamtgewicht (73kg ohne abnehmbare Leitern) zum einfachen Aufklappen, Transport und Aufbau auf dem Fahrzeug. Gurthalterungen an der gegenüberliegenden Scharnierseite, sorgen für leichten Zugang und einfaches fixieren der Bodenplattenteile. Keine Kunststoff-Eckelemente sondern ausschließlich Aluminium Rundungen (extra flach), bringen eine langlebige Beweglichkeit des Zeltstoffes.
Der Transport-Schutzbezug besteht aus High-Density Polyester, mit PU-Beschichtung innen und 12000mm Wassersäule. Ein komplett umlaufender Reißverschluss (alle 4 Seiten) bietet ein einfaches und schnelles Öffnen ohne Einführung in die Kedernschiene. Durch sein mattes Ripstop Design gibt es wenig glänzende Farbgebung auf dem Fahrzeugdach, somit bleibt ihr unauffällig.
Ihr wollt die Dachlast noch weiter reduzieren? An der Bodenplatte sind Federstifthalterungen verbaut, die die Teleskopleitern ganz einfach abnehmen lassen. Ohne Leiter kommt ihr auf ein Gewicht von gerade mal 73kg (mit Leitern 85kg). Sie lassen sich auf eine Länge von 73cm zusammenschieben (ausgefahren max. 2,30m) und können entweder an der Bodenplatte fixiert werden, sowie im Kofferraum oder im Inneren des Dachzeltes transportiert werden.
Beide Liegeflächenteile sind verbunden mit einem robusten Edelstahlscharnier und einem Bodenplattenabstand von insgesamt 18cm. Dieses bewusst konzipierte, weite Auseinanderstehen, sorgt für viel Platz im Inneren des Dachzeltes zum Verstauen von Bettzeug, Kissen oder dem beigefügten Thermo Inlay. Nutzt den extra Stauraum um mehr Platz im Fahrzeug zu behalten.
Im Innenraum wird besonders viel Platz und Bewegungsfreiheit geboten. Die auswählbaren Dachzeltbreiten kommen jeweils mit 240cm Liegeflächenlänge, perfekt für entsprechende Körpergrößen oder zur zusätzlichen Staunutzung des Fußraumes. Eine Innenhöhe von 107cm im Dachzelt bietet ideale Kopffreiheit und viel Bewegungsraum.
Zur perfekten Temperaturregulierung im GEAR ROCK ® Chilkat 220, befinden sich zwei große Öffnungen im Dachzelthimmel (Skylights). Eine schützende Lage Moskitonetzgewebe und der darüber liegende Zeltstoff zum öffnen, sorgt an allen Eingängen des Dachzeltes für eine individuelle Einstellung. Aufheizende Luft reguliert ihr mit aufzippen dieser Skylights und schafft auf schnellstem Wege Abzug. Der darüber liegende Rainfly ist mit extra Abstands U-Stangen ausgestattet, was eine perfekte Unterlüftung bietet. Als zusätzlichen Hitzeschutz verfügt dieser ebenfalls über eine Reflektorbeschichtung auf der Unterseite.
Als Anpassung an jede Wetterlage verfügt das GEAR ROCK ® Chilkat 220 über einen überdachten Leiterbereich mit vorinstalliertem Reißverschluss für die Vorzeltergänzung. Auch hier sorgt das installierte Skylight für Helligkeit im Aufstieg und dem kompletten Vorzeltbereich. Das an 4-Seiten geschlossene Vorzelt (mit abzippbaren Bodenteil) und 180°Markisenfunktion wird ab April 2024 verfügbar sein.
Beim Chilkat 220 handelt es sich um ein 4-Jahreszeiten Dachzelt, wie auch alle anderen Modelle der Marke GEAR ROCK ® (GEAR ROCK ® Package). Am Zeltstoff sind keine Zwangsbelüftungsöffnungen integriert, sondern 4 ausschließlich mit Reißverschluss ausgestattete, individuell einstellbare Zuluft Bereiche. Möchte man also keinen Lufteintritt bei kalten Temperaturen, so schließt man diese Bereiche komplett. Der atmungsaktive Zeltstoff, sowie der untere Eingangsöffnungsbereich, sorgen für ausreichend Belüftung.
Nutzt bei besonders kalten Temperaturen im Winter oder der Übergangsjahreszeit, das bei allen GEAR ROCK ® Dachzelten standardmäßig beigefügte Thermo Inlay, um eine perfekte Isolierung zu bekommen. Ebenfalls dabei ist die 300g Daunendecke mit wasserabweisenden Bezug. Mit einer Größe von 180 x 210cm kann Sie im Dachzelt oder auch genauso im Freien verwendet werden.
Zum weiteren Zubehör gehören zwei große Schuhtaschen Einheiten mit Platz für jeweils 2 Paar Schuhe , ein großes Staunetz unter der Leiterplattform, sowie eine abnehmbare LED Leuchte die im Zelt befestigt werden kann.
Im Inneren ist das GEAR ROCK ® Chilkat 220 ausgestattet mit einer 6cm starken High Density Schaumstoff Matratze und einem Schutzbezug mit wasserabweisender Unterseite. Zum Standard gehört ebenfalls ein 10mm starkes 3D Meshgewebe als Matratzenunterlage, für perfekte Unterlüftung und noch besseren Komfort.
