The side awning for the GEAR ROCK ® Kootenay has dimensions of 2500 x 2000mm and offers a large covered area next to the roof tent.
It is attached via a zipper, which is already standard on the Kootenay. It's attached under the top shell on both long sides. This gives you flexibility, allowing you to choose whichever side you want to use. A second awning can also be attached simultaneously on the opposite side. It doesn't get more flexible than that.
The Kootenay is a strong, moisture-resistant connection. Installation is simple: zip the awning tent fabric onto the tent, insert the telescopic corner poles into the eyelets, tension it, and you're done.
Reinforced eyelets at the corners are used to insert the telescopic corner poles, which extend up to 2.30m. The guy line is attached to the protruding spike and secured in the ground with a heavy-duty peg.
A major advantage is the awning's attachment to the upper shell. This provides a full 85cm of additional height (when extended), which is a significant benefit, especially for lower vehicles. Furthermore, the awning can also be used as lateral wind and weather protection by extending and securing it to the ground without the need for telescopic poles.
A space-saving awning set, securely stored in its carrying bag. Its compact dimensions of 120 x 10 x 10 cm when packed allow for easy storage in a Kootenay campervan.
The GEAR ROCK® Kootenay awning is suitable for Kootenay in standard size as well as for Kootenay X-Large.
